FOX 5 in Atlanta Mishap

I have watched this video at least 10 times, and I can’t stop laughing. I know… I’m a sick bastard.

Make Voting Even Easier

The one thing that’s always bugged me about voting is that I have to figure out where and when. Despite the small hassle, I always vote (and you should too!) This year (and forever more) I will be voting absentee. If you are a California resident, just call (562) 466-1323 and ask for them to send you an application for permanent absentee voting, fill in the form and send it in. For you Infosuperweb peeps, just point your browsers to the PDF version of the form.

Need help finding out how to do it in your own state? Start here.

Nick's Never Too Old To Rock

The Morning News never fails me. Today they point me to a great piece in the New York Times by Nick Hornby.

[R]ock ‘n’ roll was and remains necessary because: who doesn’t need exhilaration and a sense of invincibility, even if it’s only now and again?

Nick Hornby rocks. He will always rock.

The Ultimate Music Searching Tool

MusicPlasma has tons of applications, but for someone like me it makes getting any work done incredibly difficult. Be careful with this one.

New David Sedaris Book On June 1!

Hot damn! There’s even an excerpt from Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim at the WNYC site.

I Like Pens

While I’m not an illustrator, I’m a freak when it comes to the type of pen I use and I almost never use pencil. Someone turned me on to Sanford uni-ball Vision Elites, but I can’t use them when I write in my Moleskine. Boing Boing has a great link to a review of pens that was an interesting read.

You're Fired Because…

I have a lot to say about Bush (and Kerry), but for now I’ll let McSweeney’s add some fuel to the fire.

The Morning News Declares Excellence

I saw it earlier today, but forgot to draw some attention to the fact that The Morning News posted its 2004 Editors’ Awards for Online Excellence. It’s full of links you should visit, if for no other reason Rosecrans and Andrew liked these sites. That’s reason enough for me.

You're A Good Man, Jon Stewart

I think the world of Jon Stewart (host of The Daily Show, which I TiVo every evening). His sense of humor is tops and while he’s a fake news anchor, he knows what’s going on in the world. Best of all, he actually cares. In any event, he recently gave a fantastic commencement address at his alma mater.

Camino Reborn, etc.

If you’re a Mac user, then you owe it to yourself to download (and use) Camino. It’s your new favorite web browser. While it’s still in beta, you can most certainly use it as your day-to-day browser. Go ahead, live a little.

Yeah, I’m known to get excited about software every once in a while. Speaking of which, Office 2004 seems to be pretty nice so far. I switched from Apple Mail to Entourage for the day to check out some of the new features and improvements and then ended up switching back to Mail. It really comes down to having to keep track of two address books, which is a total pain in the ass. Why can’t everything just use the Apple Address Book??
